LOVE ONE ANOTHER
I ask you, not as though I were writing a new commandment but the one we have had from the beginning: let us love one another. For this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, in which you should walk. (2 John 5-6)
ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS CHRIST
Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh; such is the deceitful one and the antichrist. (2 John 7)
REMAIN IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST
Look to yourselves that you do not lose what we worked for but may receive a full recompense. Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son. -- 2 John 8-9
Lord, the way of truth I have chosen; I have set your ordinances before me (Ps 119:30). Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous deeds (Ps 119:27). Give me discernment, that I may observe your law and keep it with all my heart (Ps 119:34). Lead me in the path of your commands, for in it I delight (Ps 119:35). And I will keep your law continually, forever and ever (Ps 119:44).
